Description
Document security, accessibility and data protection; accessibility and data protection legislation, legislation specific to the administrative sector, key national and international recommendations and standards in the field; the security of electronic documents.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- be confident using national archive legislation on the public access and data protection legislation, government sector-specific legislation, and key recommendations and standards in the field
- be thoroughly familiar with the principles of document security and how to apply them in practice
- be able to compare public and private perspectives on source archiving, security, publicity, privacy and data protection
- be confident using the international guidelines related to global digital documentation and safety in the public domain (UNESCO, EU, UN).
