Description

The course focuses on basic principles and concepts in historical research.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will:

  • recognise the key research trends and concepts of historical research
  • understand the uses of history, and with the concept of history culture
  • be familiar with the concepts and key content of history policy and culture
  • understand the basic principles of using sources in historical research
  • be able to discuss research texts
  • be able to compare different historical interpretations and to understand the interpretative nature of historical research
  • understand the significance of chronology and cause-effect relationships for historical research.

Additional information

It is recommended that history degree students complete this course by participating in teaching.
