Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student is able to:
describe cell structure and its link with cell function
explain fundamentals of genetic information storage and transcription information
describe how genetic transcription leads to protein synthesis and how proteins function and affect cell regulation
explain fundamentals of cell size and number regulation
describe fundamentals of cell movement, messaging and communication
connect cell and molecular biology knowledge to physical activity and exercise physiology
expand and develop learning from other biochemical courses
critically evaluate misinterpretations related to the understanding and application of cell and molecular biology and debate these through scientific concepts
