Cell and molecular biology related to physical activity, physical inactivity and/or the neuromuscular system, and its basic and applied scientific research
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student:
becomes familiar with cell and molecular biology scientific articles related to the neuromuscular system, physical activity and inactivity
is able to critically evaluate research premise, design and results
compile a summary from a broad body of literature
advances their understanding of scientific writing, presentation and discussion skills specifically in the area of cell and molecular biology
is able to connect and advance information obtained in lectures, and formulate that with previous learning/knowledge
critically evaluate cell and molecular biology misinterpretations and applications, and debate those using scientific concepts
can act as an expert regarding exercise physiology
develop as an evidence-based student and debater
learns to present and report challenging cell and molecular biology articles
