GPS movement tracking assessments
Exercise duration and intensity assessments
Total daily energy expenditure assessments
Resting energy expenditure
Sedentary behavior (sleep, recovery)
Interpretation and clinical application of measurements of physical activities
Completion methods
Lectures and exercises/demonstrations 28 hours
Independent group work
Literature and book reading
Active participation in the lectures and demonstrations, writing assignments, examination based on set literature and presentations
Assessment details
Participation, independent work, group work, final exam
Attendance 90 % in order to pass the course
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to
- use different methods to assess physical activity
- evaluate what can be measured and what can be estimated by different methods
- analyze the reliability and validity of different assessments of physical activity
