Description

When having even thousands or hundred thousands observations on the subjects of your study, how to proceed? The purpose of this course is to sum up the information on the multidimensional data. During the course, we learn traditional and novel methods with applications to real data and use R software.

Learning outcomes

The student knows the basic theories of the methods, can choose a relevant method from several options, analyse their data with R software, perform a statistical inference based on the analysis and report the results.

The students studying statistics masters the theories in more detail.

Additional information

The students studying statistics can get 4-5 credits and other students having fewer lectures get 2 credits.

Description of prerequisites

The students studying statistics: Statistical inference 1 and 2, the basics of R software and matrix algebra.

Other students: Basic course in statistics or corresponding knowledge, the basics of R software
