Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student understands the database management systems' role as a part of the database system in the context of business continuity; knows how to install and effectively configure a database management system as a part of the database system; knows how to implement advanced SQL data types and predicates; can design and implement a computationally effective physical database structure and evaluate the implementation; can implement different data analysis methods and interpret their results.
Description of prerequisites
The course is targeted for postgraduate students. Before enrolling, you have strong practical skills regarding relational database design and implementation; programming and query language skills; theoretical foundations of data structures and algorithms; and practical skills in implementing statistical methods such as linear regression analysis.
