This course is offered through the Network for Deutsch Kooperation in der Lehre. These studies are available for the following degree students:
- Language Teacher and Primary School Teacher Education for Language Awareness and Multilingualism, Bachelor’s and Master's Degree Programme (Specialisation in German Language and Culture)
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programme in Languages (Subject Teacher, Specialisation in German Language and Culture)
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programme for Multidisciplinary Language Experts (Specialisation in German Language and Culture)

Description
Written and oral exercises in pairs or small groups and independent tasks (presentation/project work).
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will - know the media environment in German-speaking countries - identify the main German-language news media and their channels (Internet, TV) and assess their reliability - knows the main entertainment formats and channels in German-speaking countries Generic competences: digitalization, leadership and development, internationality, sustainability and responsibility, identification and development of expertise, interaction and communication, critical thinking, ethics

Campus: Joensuu Offering data: The course is intended for students with a minor. International students can participate if their German language skills are sufficient and there is space available. Language of instruction: German and English (if necessary)
