Description

Basic approaches, concepts and relevant topics in gender studies. Understanding of the meaning of critical and reflective gender studies research in analysing society and culture.

Learning outcomes

After completing the study unit, the student will be able to - explain the basic viewpoints, approaches and concepts used in gender studies - critically explore everyday knowledge and research on gender and sexuality - apply gender studies perspectives in observing social and cultural phenomena - understand how gender and sexuality are historically transforming - write in a critical and reflective manner The course develops the following generic skills: digitalization, sustainability and responsibility, critical thinking, identification and development of expertise
