Description

- tThe course familiarizes students with financial instruments and uses of development funds, financial concepts and practices for applying for public development funding in cultural and creative fields. - In addition to the knowledge base, central contents of the course include forming a project consortium, setting objectives and planning actions, and creating a budget, a schedule and a funding application. The education can be applied to project planning.

Learning outcomes

Student: - Is familiar with the financing field of cultural and creative industries and recognises funding opportunities for business and co-creation projects. - Knows financial terms and concepts and is familiar with the practices of funder cooperation. - Is able to identify potential partners for development projects and form project consortia. - Is able to evaluate client- and market-oriented development needs in relation to funding objectives and criteria. - Is able to create a project plan, a schedule, a budget and a funding application for a cooperative project of multiple partners.

Development projects and funding in CCI (5 ECTS) online course is developed for the needs of people operating in cultural and creative fields, so that they learn to increase their funding and project knowledge, build capable project teams and develop clear and innovative collaborative project ideas into project plans and funding applications. The target groups are students in creative fields, entrepreneurs, organizations, developers and people advancing cooperation between different fields. The course education can be applied to project planning. According to previous participants, the best gains from the course have been practical knowledge on applying for funding, opportunities to get help with planning their own project and networking with people operating in similar circumstances.

Description of prerequisites

- Basic knowledge of financial management, budgeting, project planning and innovation action.
