Description

Key content of the course comprises vocational rehabilitation as a whole, its areas, actors and legislation; occupational pension rehabilitation; and occupational rehabilitation of accident insurance companies and Kela. The course also covers key concepts and phenomena of vocational rehabilitation, social security related to rehabilitation, different rehabilitation processes and their phases as well as the impact of rehabilitation.

Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is acquiring basic competence relating to the service system of vocational rehabilitation, its areas and actors, the legislation governing the activities, social security during the rehabilitation period, and the impact of rehabilitation. Course competences: Rehabilitation service system Intended learning outcome: Rehabilitation service system: You are able to describe what vocational rehabilitation means and identify situations where it is appropriate and timely. You are able to describe the vocational rehabilitation system and its actors. You know the key vocational rehabilitation measures, their contents, and social security related to rehabilitation. You can describe the structures of the rehabilitation processes made up of the measures. You understand the importance of sustainable rehabilitation solutions and know how to examine the impact of rehabilitation critically. You know the legislation governing the activities.
